73rd Independence day was celebrated in Frontier HeadquarterBSF Jammu and on International Borderwith lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Many functions and events were organized onthis auspicious occasion at Paloura camp Jammu as well as on all Border Out Posts. At 0800 hrs Shri N S Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu Frontier hoisted the national Flagat BSF stadium, Paloura in the presence of Officers and Jawans. He reminded theborder men about the supreme sacrifices made by the freedom fighters toliberate our mother land from the yoke of the foreign rulers. He paid rich tributes to the Martyred fortheir sacrifices for the nation. He conveyed his warm wishes to all the SeemaPraharis serving at the BOPs on the International border/LOC and theirfamilies.
In the premises of BSF School Paloura the children’spresented a thrilling and colourful cultural programme full of patrioticemotion. IG BSF Jammu Frontier Sh N S Jamwal alongwith all officers and Jawans of Headquarter Jammu Frontierwitnessed this eventful function. While addressing the school children IG BSFwished for the bright future of the children and to carry the flag of countryhigh.
In this series Sh N S Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu Frontier visitedFTR hospital and distributed fruits and gift to the patients. He also wishedthem early recovery and good health. A plantation drive has also organised onthe occasion of Independence Day in which 500 saplings of various breedsplanted by the officers, lady wives and Jawans in BSF camp.
Independence day was also celebrated by the BSF personneldeployed on the border and LOC with equal fervour and enthusiasm. Men andOfficers pledged to continue to work for safe guarding the sanctity of borderand territorial integrity with complete devotion.
